I missed doing staycations in the city prior to the pandemic and was thrilled to do it again the first week of April. It was exactly the reset I needed after working so much remotely from home and a change of scenery and self-care was in order.
I partnered with Langham Chicago to experience a solo self-care staycation experience, a must-do, especially during these challenging times. I'm a true advocate for making wellness a priority for the mind, body, and soul.
The moment I arrived at the Langham Chicago, I immediately felt calm and in awe of the exquisite lobby ambiance and decor. The hotel has taken many precautions for the safety of its staff and guests, I felt truly comfortable interacting with the staff and the procedures they had in place. The staff was phenomenal and my room was upgraded to a King Suite, as any Queen deserves...am I right?!
When I entered my room, I had an entire parlor to myself with stunning views of the Chicago Riverwalk and a massive bedroom with a King bed and lounge chair overlooking the river and city plus a gorgeous bathtub and rain shower head with a marble seat, it was a bathroom of dreams.
I started the evening with an Influencer event at Roanoke restaurant, upon my return, all the room lights were turned off, the curtains were shut, and soothing classical music was playing when I entered my room. I was immediately transported to zen and the bed was turned down and my slippers and robe were awaiting me. It was as if the Langham Chicago knew exactly how I treat a lady, spoiling her with great care. These are the little touches that truly surprise and touch me the most when I stay at a hotel, I felt at home and ready to unwind in regal style.
Langham Chicago provides the best and luxurious bath time and shower products. I started with an hour-long bath soaking in the bath salts and the water was just the perfect temperature to ease my muscles from stress and aches. The massive bathroom mirror has a TV screen built-in, so I got to enjoy a movie while I relaxed in my bath. Afterward, I took a steam shower, and did I mention how much I love rain shower heads! They have the exact one I'd want in my dream home, I just sat on the marble seat as I connected with the scents and experience being present in the moment, something we forget to do in a hustle-mode mindset every day. It was a good reminder for me to take a break and enjoy the moment. Every night I end with a skin and hair-care ritual, it's been a priority for me since the pandemic started and how much taking care of myself is essential and important. The experience was elevated the Langham Chicago truly making it special. I slipped in my silk slip and settled into the softest and comfiest King bed all to myself, drifting off to the best sleep ever!
The next morning, I splurged on a fancy breakfast while enjoying the views of the riverwalk, it was a great way to start my morning before my shoot. It was the best royal treatment a lady could ask for and I felt pampered like a true Queen!
